Monarto South Farm
Our Monarto South Farm marks the beginning of the process - a place where The Simplist philosophy is put into practice, from soil to final extract. It serves as a foundation for observing how plants are grown and best incorporated into each formulation.
It is in the pristine soil and fresh country air of our farm that Eremophila alternifolia is grown, and this remarkable plant is the foundation for our first release products. Thriving in sandy, limestone soils, Eremophila demonstrates remarkable resilience. Its specialised biochemistry allows it to conserve moisture, endure intense heat, and resist pests, growing where few other plants can survive. This species offers a distinct profile of active compounds.
Research has identified Eremophila alternifolia has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal properties within its oils and extracts, reflecting the plant’s natural adaptations to semi-arid environments.
Compounds within this native plant are also described in scientific literature for their calming characteristics and continue to be studied for their potential effects on the gastrointestinal and respiratory systems.
Over time, additional plantings will be established, each selected to suit the soil on the farm and the climatic conditions.
